West Louisiana Jujutsu Training Academy

West Louisiana Jujutsu Training Academy delivers traditional and practical martial arts instruction at 101 South 3rd Street in Leesville, Louisiana. Founded in 2001, the academy has instructed students across the Leesville and Fort Johnson community in self-defense and combat disciplines. The academy was founded by master instructor Shihan Joey Harvey, a 10th Dan black belt in Naishin Ryu Jujutsu and a Level II Combat Submission Wrestling coach under Erik Paulson. Coaching is co-led by Shihan Anita Harvey, who contributes over 25 years of martial arts experience, holds a 5th Dan black belt in Naishin Ryu Jujutsu and Menkyo Hanshi in Iai-Jutsu, and completed 13 years of military service. Teaching is assisted by Shihan Glenn Cooley and Sensei Adrian Richard. Coursework spans Naishin Ryu Jujutsu, Brazilian Jiu jutsu, catch wrestling, Greco Roman wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, and Savate. Age-tailored youth programs serve preschool children, tweens, and teens. Students can begin training by registering for a free class.
