Albert Allen Hughes

Albert Hughes is the founder of Genesis Jiu Jitsu in Fort Worth and an instructor there. He was introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2002 through a friend, drawn by the effectiveness of the techniques, and in 2004 made it his primary focus. Since then he has trained full time and competed several times a year across the United States and internationally. He received his black belt from Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu in February 2011. He describes himself as a lifelong student of the art whose attention is now on passing his experience to his students and building a competition team to represent the academy. Several Genesis instructors came up under him, including Javier Orona, a black belt under Hughes and Braden Masters.
