Alberto "Beto" Vilanova founded Vilanova Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Camarillo, California, in 2016 and teaches at the academy, which is located in Old Town Camarillo and offers gi and no-gi classes, self-defense workshops and private instruction for kids and adults. He has more than two decades of training under some of the sport's top instructors, and the site says his passion for jiu-jitsu comes through in every class he teaches. Known to students as Professor Beto, he set out to build a space where students of all ages and levels can develop physical strength along with resilience, confidence and discipline. Under his leadership the academy was named Camarillo's 2024 Business of the Year.
