Andre Maracaba is the owner and head instructor of Maracaba BJJ in Mesa, Arizona. He began martial arts through Judo at age three and started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at twelve. After moving from Fortaleza, Brazil, to the United States, he continued developing his craft and teaching jiu-jitsu to students of every level. His approach combines technical precision, discipline, fitness and practical self-defense with a commitment to helping each student grow, and the academy he leads offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs for both kids and adults.
