Junior "Juninho" Crivelari is the owner and head instructor of Checkmat Portland, the family-run Jiu-Jitsu academy he founded in 2021 in Troutdale, Oregon. The school is an affiliate of Checkmat, the international team founded in 2008 by Master Leo Vieira. Alongside that affiliation, he leads his own growing network of academies, the Crivelari Jiu Jitsu Team, whose affiliate schools include Checkmat Portugal in Marinha Grande and academies in Itu, Jundiaí, and Louveira in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
