Detailed Description

Brandon Garner is the owner of Gracie Raleigh, where he teaches jiu-jitsu to adults and kids. He was promoted to black belt by Royce Gracie in November 2011 and is now a 3rd degree black belt. A former professional MMA fighter with an 8-1 pro record over 17 total fights, he was the Carolina Fight Promotions bantamweight champion and a participant on The Ultimate Fighter Season 8. His grappling results include a bronze at the 2010 No Gi Pan American Games and IBJJF Charlotte Masters black belt gold in 2025 and 2026. From 2004 to 2015 Garner served as a hand-to-hand combat instructor for Army Special Forces, and he is a Level 2 Army Combatives instructor and SOCP instructor. He has more than 25 years of kickboxing and wrestling experience, and several Gracie Raleigh instructors, including Andrew Bitner and Chris Lewter, earned their black belts under him.
