Brian Matthew Imholz

Professor Brian Imholz is the owner, founder and head instructor of Gracie Humaitá SEMO in Jackson, Missouri, which he established to spread Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense throughout Southeast Missouri. He began martial arts in 1994 and transitioned to Jiu-Jitsu in 2006. Ten years later, in 2016, he received his black belt from JW Wright, Royler Gracie and David Adiv. With more than 20 years of training, Imholz has developed the academy's other two professors, Curtis Ackman and Kyle Thompson, both of whom started Jiu-Jitsu under him in 2013 and went on to earn their black belts. He is described as most passionate about bringing the knowledge and self-defense skills of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to those who need it most.
