Bruno Carvalho is the head instructor of Team Carvalho Treasure Coast in Fort Pierce, Florida. He grew up on the mats and holds a 4th degree black belt under his uncle Edson Carvalho, who received his own black belt from Carlson Gracie. Carvalho has traveled the world competing in combat sports and compiled a professional MMA record of 15-11. As a teacher, the academy describes his approach as genuine, with attention to the details of each technique for students at every level. He has developed instructors from within the school, including youth and fundamentals coach Ben Ciotti, an Army veteran who received his black belt from Carvalho in 2021.
