Bruno Dias is the black belt behind Bruno Dias Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BD BJJ Academy) in Clermont, Florida. Before teaching he served four years in the Brazilian Marines and is certified in tactical immobilization by SWAT. He studied early childhood education at the Winners Institute with a focus on social values, and since 2016 has taught children and teenagers, working with more than 500 young students. Dias is also a professional MMA fighter and an active competitor. His record includes two IBJJF world titles, four Pan American gi titles and a no-gi Pan American title, national championships in gi and no-gi, five South American titles, 85 IBJJF Open wins, and a four-year run ranked first in the world by the IBJJF, along with three world titles and three World Cup titles with the CBJJO.
