Clayton Phillips

Clayton Phillips leads Clayton Phillips Jiu Jitsu (CPJJ) in Norfolk, Virginia, an academy built around modern no-gi submission grappling, wrestling, and self-defense. He travels across the country with his most dedicated students so they can test themselves at local, regional, national, and international competitions, and his coaching centers on the newest techniques and training methods, which he studies and implements continually. In class he takes member safety seriously, pairing newcomers with partners experienced in working with beginners and leaving sparring optional. His students progress from basics to advanced strategies through a set curriculum that covers both gi and no-gi training.
