Conor Heun is the head coach and owner of 10th Planet Denver, which he opened in 2018. He is a third-degree 10th Planet black belt under Eddie Bravo and a retired professional MMA fighter. Heun started wrestling at age five and went on to win Colorado state titles in folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman before competing for five years at Ithaca College. After seeing the first UFC he sought out Eddie Bravo for jiu-jitsu, Chris Riley for Muay Thai and Frankie Liles for boxing, and fought professionally for seven years in the IFL, Elite XC and Strikeforce, retiring in 2012 with a 9-5 record. Since retiring, Heun has devoted himself to teaching students of every level, and he continues to compete, most recently taking bronze at the IBJJF World Championships in Las Vegas. He has promoted his own black belts, including Zane Stone in June 2022.
