Corey Brown is the founder and head instructor of Black Tie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a third-degree black belt whose lineage runs through Chad Lebrun, Leo Dalla, Jorge Pereira and Rickson Gracie. He began wrestling at eleven and competed through middle and high school, and he also has a background in MMA and holds a brown belt in judo. Born and raised in Virginia, he moved to Cape Coral, Florida, with his wife and daughters in 2016 and opened his first school on puzzle mats inside a fitness facility in February 2017, adding a Bonita Springs location in 2018. Black Tie now has affiliate schools in Florida, Georgia and Michigan. Brown's competition record includes a Gracie Jiu Jitsu No-Gi National title, ADCC Open and ADCC USA National pro championships, three IBJJF Pan American titles at black belt and an IBJJF World silver medal.
