Daniel Thomas Cobb
Daniel Cobb is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and the Professor and Head Instructor at Thrive Academy in Winnipeg. The academy traces its roots in the city's martial arts community to the mid-1990s and has grown under his leadership from a training centre into a broader development programme focused on building resilient individuals as well as technical skill. Cobb has extensive experience teaching students of every age, from the Little Ninjas programme through to adults. His teaching stresses that Jiu Jitsu is about more than techniques and the next belt: he sees it as a way for students to develop confidence, discipline, character, focus and respect.
