Dustin "Clean" Denes is a sixth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu known for his submission game, with a background shaped by Club Carlson Gracie, Marcus Silveira, Murilo Bustamante, Zé Mario Sperry, and Ricardo de la Riva. He started at Carlson Gracie Miami, traveled to Brazil in 1999 with his mentor Antônio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira, and moved to Rio de Janeiro to train full time. He spent over two years as a brown belt with Brazilian Top Team, became Brazilian champion in 2000, and earned his black belt in the fall of 2001. Hundreds of matches in Brazil earned him the nickname "Clean, King of the Triangle." After a professional MMA debut in Japan he returned to the United States and was part of the founding generation of American Top Team. He holds a BS in Marketing from Florida State University and an International MBA from Florida International University.
