Edison Kagohara is the founder of Over Limit Jiu Jitsu, the team behind Over Limit BJJ Saigon. He was introduced to jiu jitsu in 1997 through informal grappling sessions with friends, joined a small club in his town in 2000, and the following year became one of the pioneering students of the Infight Japan team under Agnaldo Taba and Paulo Nardy, who awarded him his black belt in 2007. He established Over Limit Jiu Jitsu in Japan in 2011 and holds a third degree black belt recognised by the IBJJF and SJJIF. From 2013 he expanded the team abroad, opening its first affiliate outside Japan in the Philippines and later adding China in 2016, Korea in 2018, and Vietnam and Malaysia in 2019.
