Ernesto Frye is an instructor at Elemental Jiu Jitsu and Fitness in Palmetto Bay. Born in Brazil, he came to the United States at a young age and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Before settling on Jiu Jitsu he took part in a long list of sports, from soccer, football, badminton, and mountain biking to wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, and taekwondo. He earned his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Lazaro Amaro and Michel "Buiu" Porfirio. A husband and father of twins, he teaches the art to his children as well as his students. Outside of class he trains Jeet Kune Do and Kali.
