Gustavo dos Santos Pires

Gustavo "Siri" Pires is the owner and head instructor of Siri Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy. A fourth-degree black belt, he received his black belt from Master Carlos Gracie Jr. in 2003 and has been teaching for more than 20 years. Pires has taught at a number of academies around the world, including Roger Gracie Academy in London, the Gracie Barra headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and several Gracie Barra schools in Southern California. He is the founder of Gracie Barra Joinville in Santa Catarina, Brazil, and of Gracie Barra Mission Viejo. His academy, which has offered classes under his instruction since 2017, teaches students of all ages, families and law enforcement officers, with an emphasis on self-defence, physical education and character development.
