Gustavo V Toledo Reyna

Gustavo Toledo is the head instructor of Studio 93 Jiu Jitsu in North Hollywood. A student of Professor Dartanian, who ran the academy and was searching for a successor, Toledo took over in April 2022 when Dartanian stepped down as head instructor, continuing to teach under his guidance. He then refreshed the school's look and gave it a new name to mark the start of a new chapter. The name honors his younger brother, Steven Toledo, a blue belt who died on February 14, 2022 after an eight-year battle with cancer; Steven was born in 1993, and the "ST" of Studio matches his initials. Toledo makes sure students know the story behind the name and its lesson about perseverance. Since taking over he has introduced new techniques and training methods, and the academy says his knowledge and passion for teaching quickly made him a favorite among students.
