Iranilson Lima de Medeiros

Iranilson Lima de Medeiros, known within his team as Legionnaire Professor 01 Iranilson Lima, is the founder of the Legião Team, established on 28 July 2015, which has grown to more than 42 branches in Brazil plus international branches in Spain and Bulgaria. Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, in 1977, he began Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at 13 in 1990 under Banni Scovsck Cavalcanti dos Santos and later trained with Jalmir Ferreira, Edmilson de Oliveira and Cesar Guimarães "Casquinha". He received his black belt on 1 December 1999 in Rio de Janeiro with Guimarães of the Carlson Gracie team, and his sixth degree in December 2023. He also holds honorary fifth and sixth degree diplomas from Rickson Gracie's Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation, awarded in 2017 and 2021, a brown belt in Judo, and degrees in law and physical education.
