Jarbem Ferreira Pacheco is the co-owner and head coach of Jiu Livre Grappling Office in New York. Born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1983, he began martial arts at 18 in Luta Livre under Marcus Goes and Renato Ferreira, and later received his Luta Livre black belt from Nicolas Renier. He trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu concurrently under Guilherme Correia, began teaching Luta Livre and coaching MMA in El Paso, Texas, in 2016, and moved to New York a year later, studying under Eduardo Santos. In 2022 he was promoted to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt by Paulo Miyao. Pacheco's competition record includes Pan American titles in gi and no-gi, Masters Worlds medals in his weight class and the open class, and multiple IBJJF Open championships. He has also worked as a UFC cornerman and continues to coach at tournaments.
