Jason Culbreth is the head instructor at Cary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Cary, North Carolina, and one of Royce Gracie's first 20 black belts. With more than 25 years in martial arts, he has studied wrestling, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He fought undefeated in mixed martial arts and remains an active jiu-jitsu competitor, medaling in local and international events including a win at the 2016 Masters Worlds. Culbreth is described as a pioneer of MMA and BJJ in North Carolina and was part of the effort that legalized MMA in the state in 2007. He has also trained local, state and federal law enforcement officers and members of the US military from the National Guard to Special Forces.
