Jayson Patino is the head instructor at Champions Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai in Orlando. His martial arts path began in Taekwondo at age four. He wrestled in high school and at the University of Central Florida, where he was a two-time All-American on two national championship teams while earning a degree in Social Science. In 2004 he started Jiu-Jitsu with the UCF Jiu-Jitsu club, showing up an hour before wrestling practice to train. After graduating he continued competing in Jiu-Jitsu and fought professional MMA, and in 2011 he opened American Top Team East Orlando. Master Liborio awarded him his black belt in 2013. In 2023 he left ATT to start his own brand, which continues today as Champions Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai.
