Jesus Perez Perez is the president and professor of Five Elements Jiu-Jitsu Huelva, the club he helped create in 2004, which now has close to 200 members across its children's and adult programmes. He is a third-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu recognised by the IBJJF, and describes himself as a direct student and black belt of Royce Gracie, as is his friend and mentor Helio Perdigão, who founded the team. Beyond jiu-jitsu, Pérez holds a third-dan black belt in judo from the Spanish judo federation, first-dan black belts in kickboxing, sambo and taekwondo, and coaching qualifications including regional judo coach and national level-1 coach in boxing, Olympic wrestling and grappling, all certified through the respective Spanish federations and the Consejo Superior de Deportes.
