Joao G. Moncaio

João Moncaio is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor, competitor and mentor and the co-founder of Moncaio Brothers in Pompano Beach, Florida, which he runs with his brother Fred Moncaio. With decades of experience in the art, he has trained, competed and coached students of all ages and levels, from first-time beginners to athletes preparing for competition. At the academy, Moncaio takes an active role in developing the curriculum and mentoring students through each stage of their training. His teaching emphasizes technical precision, continuous learning, respect and perseverance, and he is known for breaking complex techniques down into practical, easy-to-understand concepts. Students from Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Coconut Creek, Lighthouse Point and Fort Lauderdale train under his guidance.
