Karen Darabedyan is the founder and head coach of KD MMA, a network of three academies across Los Angeles in Glendale, Montrose and Northridge. A WEC veteran, he compiled a professional MMA record of 14–6 across the WEC, Strikeforce and the California regional scene, with wins over Tony Ferguson and Rob McCullough. He made his professional debut in 2006 as a lightweight and went 12–0 as an amateur boxer. Darabedyan came up through the Hayastan MMA Academy under Gokor Chivichyan, where he trained alongside Ronda Rousey, Gegard Mousasi, Karo Parisyan and Manny Gamburyan. Today he leads the coaching across all three KD MMA locations, where the academies teach students from three-year-olds through professional fighters.
