Professor Cassiano Santos leads the morning classes at Spectrum Jiu Jitsu. A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt originally from São Paulo, Brazil, he moved to the Washington, D.C. area after serving five years in the Brazilian Army and working as a physical education teacher at FMU College in São Paulo. It was there that he found his passion, beginning his Jiu Jitsu career under Daniel Gracie and B9 Old School in Brazil. With 20 years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training and competition behind him, Cassiano is an accomplished competitor whose results include eight Paulista-FPJJ Brazil championships, three IBJJF Brazil championships, five IBJJF Open Brazil championships and an Abu Dhabi championship.
