Marcio Moreira is the main black belt at Ralph Gracie Pleasanton, which he has owned and operated since 2019 after joining the Ralph Gracie team in 2017. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, he began training jiu-jitsu at age eight under Ricardo De La Riva and later earned his blue belt from Alexandre "Soca" Freitas. He received his purple and brown belts training under Paulo "Rabico" and Roberto "Gordo" Correa, and in 2012, at 29, he was promoted to black belt by David Vieira, who was teaching under Gordo at the time. Moreira has an unbeaten fight record of 7-0 across three professional and four amateur bouts. His competition results include a 2006 national team championship, state titles in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, second at the 2008 Nationals, third at the 2008 International Open Rio, third at the 2016 No-Gi Worlds, and first at the 2022 Houston Open.
