Mitchel Roy Wiles
Mitchel Wiles is the head instructor and co-owner of Yellowknife Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and holds a first-degree black belt. His grappling began in wrestling, where he won tournaments in Saskatchewan including a provincial title, before he started Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2008. He went on to win gold in local tournaments, including the absolute division at the 2012 Mind Body Soul Alberta Open, and has competed at the IBJJF Pan Championship. He received his black belt in 2021 from Alliance black belt Faron Sinnicks and Alliance founder Master Romero Cavalcanti, and is an Alliance-certified instructor in the Fundamentals and Intermediate curriculums. His aim for every class is that students have fun, learn something new and get a good workout.
