Professor Nicolai "Geeza" Holt is the head coach of Gracie Barra Bristol and a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with more than 20 years of teaching experience. He was promoted to black belt by Roger Gracie after years of training at the Gracie headquarters, and the school notes he is the only instructor in the Bristol area promoted by a member of the Gracie family. His lineage runs from Mitsuyo Maeda through Carlos Gracie, Helio Gracie, Carlos Gracie Junior and Roger Gracie. As a competitor he is a four-time IBJJF European Masters champion at black belt, with earlier European titles at purple and brown, multiple Pan-American titles at blue, purple and brown, and an American National title at brown. He is also a NAGA champion and a 17-time Grappler's Quest champion with well over 100 submission wins. Most of the school's black belts came up under him.
