Oisin Gerard Mc Cabe
Oisin McCabe is the Head Coach of Compound Martial Arts in Artane, Dublin, and holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Karate. He arrived at Dublin City University in 2006 to study Sports Science and, finding little martial arts on offer, founded the DCU Kickboxing Club. Coming from a Karate background his interest was in striking, but that year he discovered a Brazilian jiu-jitsu class run by Team Ryano head Andrew Ryan, and the following year merged the two clubs into what became DCU MMA. As the competitors outgrew a college club, he founded Compound Martial Arts in 2016; the academy is a Team Ryano affiliate. McCabe leads the junior programmes and has more than 20 years of experience coaching children in martial arts.
