Rilion Gracie

Rilion Gracie is the youngest son of Grand Master Carlos Gracie Sr., founder of Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and has been part of his father's tradition since birth. He credits Carlos Sr. and his brother Rolls Gracie as his mentors and professors. He heads the Rilion Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy headquarters in Miami, where he teaches alongside his son Roggan. Rilion competed for 15 years in jiu-jitsu and freestyle matches and, according to the academy, was never submitted as a black belt in competition or sparring, earning a reputation for being "100% technical." In the early 1980s he taught at the Gracie Ipanema academy and co-founded the Gracie school in Barra da Tijuca with his older brothers Crolin and Carlos Jr. In 1988 he was among the instructors at the first Gracie Jiu-Jitsu seminar in the United States, hosted by Chuck Norris. He also teaches seminars and self-defense training for law enforcement.
