Detailed Description

Sop Huh is the head instructor and co-founder of ROK Jiu Jitsu in Huntington Station, New York, which he opened in June 2025 with Coach Steven Schneider. Originally from Paju, South Korea, he began Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010 and earned his black belt in under a decade from Joe Scarola, receiving his 1st degree through the same lineage. His 2nd degree black belt was awarded by Marcelo Garcia. Huh is a nine-time IBJJF World Champion, and he served in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, the source of the academy's name. His teaching pairs technique with an emphasis on discipline, respect, and growth, while Schneider contributes a Division I wrestling background; together the two have more than 35 years of experience.
