Timothy James Dawson

Tim Dawson is the head instructor at High Noon BJJ in Alexandria, Virginia. He is an IBJJF certified 2nd degree black belt under the late Dave "The Rock" Jacobs and also holds a brown belt in judo. A lifelong competitor who has competed regularly since 2010, his results include two IBJJF World Master titles, the 2025 IBJJF Nogi Pan championship, six IBJJF New York Open and two IBJJF DC Open titles, the 2026 USA Judo Senior National Championship and a 2014 WKA amateur MMA national title. Dawson teaches structured, high-intensity classes aimed at sport jiu-jitsu and builds wrestling into every class to develop positional control. As head instructor he has coached athletes to podium finishes at Nogi Pans, Nogi Worlds, the ADCC Open and ADCC Trials.
