Will Hagerty is the owner and head instructor of Jiu-Jitsu Dynamics, the family-run academy near Olympia and Lacey, Washington, founded in 2014. He earned his black belt in 2011 under Egan Inoue of Grappling Unlimited Hawai'i and is now a fourth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with more than 30 years of combined experience in wrestling and jiu-jitsu. An Army veteran, he began wrestling in high school and has competed ever since, and he remains an active IBJJF competitor. He leads the majority of classes at the academy, with a coaching style built on positive reinforcement and breaking down technique in detail. Several of the school's instructors, including Abel Correa, earned their black belts under him.
