William Scott Phillips

Scott Phillips is the founder of Scott Phillips' Invincible Academy in Wylie, Texas, where he holds a 4th degree black belt under Grandmaster Relson Gracie. A former Navy SEAL and competitive fighter, he has taught jiu-jitsu, combatives, and defensive tactics to military special operations units, local and federal law enforcement, and civilians for more than 25 years, and the academy's programs draw on that experience. Phillips has developed the school's teaching staff from his own students: Professor Charlie, his first student to go from white belt to black belt under him, now holds a 2nd degree black belt, and Professora Monica, another of his black belts, leads the women's self-defense program.
