Carolina Family Jiu Jitsu operates at 2550 W Main St Suite 131, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Local students can begin training by registering for an introductory Free Trial Class. The school is a family owned academy and operated by Professors Joey and Janae Dean within the Jean Jacques Machado association. Joey Dean opened Carolina Family Jiu Jitsu in early 2023. Coach Joey is a black belt under David Werner and holds a black belt in Judo, while Coach Janae is a brown belt and IBJJF Master World Champion. Instructors are also SafeSport Certified. Training programs include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (gi and no gi) alongside Muay Thai instruction. Youth classes are designed for Kids (6-12yo), while older practitioners participate in Teens/ Adults (13+) sessions. The academy provides both Gi and No-Gi sessions across multiple weekly time slots.
