CDA Jiu-Jitsu operates at 7680 N Government Way #2 in Dalton Gardens, Idaho. The martial arts training facility delivers Brazilian jiu-jitsu instruction and practical ground self-defense education for youth and adult practitioners in the Dalton Gardens community. Instruction at the academy is headed by owner Professor Shawn Lawrence, an International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation certified black belt and former U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diver who began training in 2010. Professor Lawrence and the coaching staff lead classes through core leverage principles, positional transitions, defensive escapes, and joint locks. Instructors prioritize controlled technical execution and student safety, cultivating an organized and respectful learning atmosphere. The academy structures its curriculum across distinct training pathways. Program offerings encompass Adult Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals in the traditional gi, Adult Jiu-Jitsu Advanced, Adult Grappling Fundamentals in no-gi attire, and Youth Jiu-Jitsu. Training sessions integrate systematic technique instruction, drilling repetitions, and situational live sparring, assisting students in developing cardiovascular stamina, technical agility, and reliable personal protection skills.
