Foster Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu delivers grappling education and martial arts instruction at 8256 S 192nd St in Kent, Washington. The school provides technical ground fighting and submission classes seven days a week for practitioners of all experience levels across Kent and King County. The academy is owned and directed by Head Coach James "300" Foster, a certified 5th Degree Black Belt under Giva Santana and One Jiu-Jitsu. Foster began martial arts training in 1987 at age 10, earning a black belt in Aam-Ka-Jutsu before transitioning to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1996. He received his BJJ black belt in October 2005 from Santana and Juliano Prado of Lotus Club. Foster's competitive achievements include three IBJJF World Master Championship gold medals won in 2015, 2018, and 2019, alongside multiple Pan Jiu-Jitsu championship medals. The teaching staff includes 5th Degree Black Belt Michelle Wagner and 3rd Degree Black Belt Rick Geist. Coursework includes adult gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, no-gi submission grappling, and open mat training. Classes emphasize positional escapes, pressure passing, takedowns, and joint submissions. Prospective students can schedule a complimentary trial class.
