Gracie Barra Encinitas Jiu-Jitsu

Gracie Barra Encinitas Jiu-Jitsu delivers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction and martial arts education at 613 Westlake Street #222 in Encinitas, California. Founded in 2006 by Professor Nelson Monteiro, a Rio de Janeiro native who trained under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and helped form the Abu Dhabi Combat Club in the UAE, the academy serves students across the Encinitas area. The instructional roster features black belt coaches committed to jiu-jitsu for everyone. Professor Rafael began training at age 13 under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. at the original Gracie Barra, guiding practitioners through technical movement, positional control, and private lessons to overcome training plateaus. Course offerings encompass GB1 Fundamentals for beginners, GB2 Advanced, and GB3 Expert designed to help students achieve black belt excellence.
