Gracie Barra Jacksonville is situated at 8210 Cypress Plaza Dr, Unit 104, in Jacksonville, Florida 32256. Established in 2008, the facility provides martial arts training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and wrestling. Head instructor Roberto Cuartero III is a 4th-degree black belt and former U.S. Marine with over 20 years on the mat coaching amateur and professional fighters. The coaching roster includes ten or more black belts teaching within the structured Gracie Barra lineage going back to Rio de Janeiro, 1986. Class programs cover GB1 Fundamentals BJJ All Levels, advanced Jiu-Jitsu, GBK1 Kids NoGi, kickboxing, and competitive MMA training. The school is open 7 days, with classes starting as early as 6:30 AM; a first class is free, and new students are asked to walk in 15 minutes early. A NoGi leg-lock-only fundamentals class runs on the first Sunday of each month.
