Detailed Description

Professor Bruno Rocha coordinates Gracie Barra Joinville, the Gracie Barra unit in Joinville, Santa Catarina, and is an active black belt competitor as well as a teacher. In May 2024 he won gold at the IBJJF International Masters North America in Long Beach, finishing two of his three fights by triangle choke and taking the final on points. In August 2024 he placed third among 61 competitors in the black belt lightweight (76 kg) division at the World Masters in Las Vegas, and in March 2025 he won the Pan-IBJJF in Kissimmee, Florida, with three submission wins in four fights. Under his coordination the school follows the standardised Gracie Barra curriculum, offering the GB1, GB2, GB3, women's and kids programs along with private lessons, and it has hosted an annual Kids Jiu-Jitsu Festival for nine years.
