Mission Grappling Club

Mission Grappling Club is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling academy located at 1322 E Mission Rd in San Marcos, California. The gym delivers goal-driven martial arts instruction, positional grappling fundamentals, and physical conditioning for youth and adult practitioners throughout the local community. The academy is owned and instructed by head instructor Adam Schmaltz, who earned black belts in both Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2012, supported by assistant instructor Emmett Rodriguez. Instruction focuses on purposeful training, teaching students positional control, leverage, guard passing, and submission mechanics in a focused learning atmosphere. The curriculum accommodates practitioners of diverse ages and experience levels. Offerings feature Kids 1 for children ages 10 and under, Kids 2 for youth ages 11 to 15, and introductory wrestling for ages 5 and 6, alongside adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sessions covering both gi and no-gi grappling formats.
