SBG East Coast

SBG East Coast provides combat sports instruction and martial arts training at 125 Faunce Corner Rd, Ste. 125D in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Operating as part of the Straight Blast Gym International network, the facility features two mat training areas, changing rooms, and a member lounge serving students across the Dartmouth area. The academy was founded and is led by head coach Stephen Whittier, a 5th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt who has coached practitioners ranging from novice hobbyists to law enforcement personnel and competitive fighters. The instructional team features 3rd Degree Black Belt John Murphy, 2nd Degree Black Belt Ryan Parker, 1st Degree Black Belt Steve Botelho, and black belts Kasey Hedglin Botelho and Bob Andersen, alongside Muay Thai instructor Mal Luz. Course offerings include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission grappling, Muay Thai kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and kids martial arts. Training emphasizes positional fundamentals, leverage, and sparring drills, supported by free introductory trial sessions.
