SCHOOL Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is situated at 24 W St Joseph St. in Arcadia, California. The academy provides martial arts and combat sports training for students of all ages across youth, teen, and adult divisions. The academy is owned and operated by black belts Ben Zhuang and Herbert Cruz. Coach Ben Zhuang began training in 2003 under Rodrigo Teixeira, earned black belt promotion from Gracie Barra in 2015, and holds a 2nd degree black belt from the IBJJF. Co-owner Herbert Cruz started training in 2011 under Steven Cardenas and received his black belt from Ricardo "Franjinha" Miller in August of 2021. Instruction spans Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai/Kickboxing, Judo, and Mixed Martial Arts, supplemented by private training. Youth memberships accommodate ages 4 to 15, while teen and adult programs welcome practitioners ages 16 and older. Prospective participants can schedule an introductory trial class.
