Tokyo Joe's Studios of Self Defense/Team Link NH operates at 1338 Hooksett Road in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Founded in 2000 by owner and operator Edward Carr as a Kempo Karate school, the facility delivers multifaceted martial arts training. The karate program follows a lineage rooted in Shaolin Kempo Karate under the Tokyo Joe's System of Self Defense, while the mixed martial arts program originally began under UFC Hall of Fame fighter Pat Miletich and Miletich Fighting Systems. Since 2011, the academy's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and mixed martial arts programs have operated as part of Team Link, led by third-degree black belt Marco Alvan. The curriculum serves adults, teens, and children across distinct age groups. Adult programs feature Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ages fifteen and older, teaching ground control, positional dominance, and submissions in gi and no-gi formats, alongside Kickboxing for ages thirteen and older.
