Vanguard Academy Jiu Jitsu

Vanguard Academy Jiu-Jitsu is located at 2758 Middle Country Road, Suite 206, Lake Grove, NY 11755. The training space features 3 bathrooms and 3 showers along with a hands-free refillable water fountain. The instructional team is led by Jason Rau, who serves as Head Instructor after earning his black belt under Matt Serra in 2016. The academy also features Nick Ronan as Head Instructor, who received his black belt under Matt Serra in 2020. They are joined by Dylan Benningfield, an Instructor promoted to black belt under Rau & Ronan in 2025. Course options at the Lake Grove facility include Adult Jiu-Jitsu with Gi and No-Gi formats, Kickboxing, Kids BJJ (Ages 8-13), and Gi (Ages 40+). Morning and evening sessions are scheduled during the week, and new students are invited to Try a Free Class.
