Zangief Jiu Jitsu provides combat sports and martial arts instruction at 7380 S. Eastern Avenue, Suite 109A, in Las Vegas, NV. Founded and led by head coach Gabriel Checco, the academy delivers structured martial arts education focused on physical conditioning, technical defense, and personal growth for children and adults. Head instructor Gabriel Checco has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2000 and brings extensive competitive and coaching experience to daily classes. Striking instruction is directed by Master Yamira Valdes, a certified fourth-degree black belt in Taekwondo, former Nevada State Champion, and two-time AAU National Champion. In 2020, Master Valdes partnered with Professor Checco to establish the Rising Warriors Taekwondo program within the academy, blending traditional martial discipline with modern athletic training. Class offerings span adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, youth jiu-jitsu, and kids Taekwondo.
