Chris Kriebel is the head instructor of Team Kriebel Ohio Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Nova União Ohio) in Green, Ohio. He is an IBJJF-certified third-degree black belt under Eduardo "Dudu" Barros in the Nova União lineage, and has more than nine years of experience as a black belt instructor. A lifelong martial artist, he began in Tae Kwon Do, winning multiple state championships, then became a two-time state wrestling placer and Walsh Ironman All-American before earning a wrestling scholarship to Kent State University, where he competed internationally in freestyle. Since receiving his black belt in 2013, Kriebel has trained, taught and competed around the world, with podium finishes at major IBJJF events including a win at the 2022 Madrid International Open no-gi black belt division. He is a high school science teacher and former head wrestling coach.
