Filemon Teixeira Leopoldo Junior

Filemon Teixeira is co-owner and professor at Elevate Jiu Jitsu in Longwood, Florida, and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Originally from Brazil, where he trained with Gutho/Atos, he met his business partner, instructor Cameron Hamel, at their previous academy, and the two decided to open their own school. They started Elevate Jiu Jitsu in July 2024 in Hamel's garage, training many of the families they had trained with before, and moved into the academy's Longwood location in January 2025. On the mat he shares leadership of classes with Hamel, with an approach aimed at keeping the academy safe and female-friendly.
