Detailed Description

Gabriel Marangoni is the head instructor and co-founder of Marangoni BJJ, which he started with his older brother Rafael in 2008 in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil. Introduced to jiu-jitsu at 13, he trained three times a day, six days a week and earned his black belt at 19, guided by Rafael and strongly influenced by Caio Terra; he still competes under the Caio Terra Academy flag and is now a 4th degree black belt. He began teaching in 2008 as a purple belt and has taught seminars and competed in more than 30 countries. His results include No-Gi World titles in 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025, Pan American championships in 2023 and 2024, three American National titles each in gi and no-gi, and European and South American championships. He also works as an IBJJF referee at events including Worlds, Master Worlds, No-Gi Worlds and Pan Ams.
